It’s been an eventful few years for Italian eatery Plate. After the beloved restaurant’s original Brookside location was destroyed by a fire, it reopened in a new, modern space in the neighborhood in 2019.
Leawood, Kansas (February 9, 2021) – AREA Real Estate Advisors, CBRE and KBS, one of the largest investors in premier commercial real estate in the nation, have announced that Plate Restaurant is expanding its footprint with a second location at Park Place Village. The property is a 483,984 square foot mixed-use retail and office property located in Leawood, Kansas owned by KBS Real Estate Investment Trust III.

The Ice at Park Place, Leawood’s outdoor ice rink, is open through February 28, 2021! This season brings holiday festivities, as well as some new traditions. Think small town pond hockey, human curling, (who wants to push Uncle Butch down the ice?), broom ball, and a special Miracle on Ice 40th Anniversary Event featuring Ken Morrow. The Ice will continue to host its ever-so-popular Princess and Sweetheart Skates but is also adding something special for our Superheroes too—recognizing both the famous, and not so famous, heroes to include our front-line workers who have given so much to keep our community safe.
