A free weekly kids club brought to you by our friends at Macaroni KID! Bring your kids to Barkley Square every Tuesday morning for Pinwheel Club – a club designed for playfulness, joy, and the celebration of childhood. They’ll get in on nine weeks of fun activities to include crafts, entertainment, and games – all free! You get to sit back and enjoy, or join them in all the fun!

June

• 3:  Pinwheel Club Kickoff Party! First 100 kids can decorate their own Pinwheel Club tote, enjoy Inspired Play Café pop-up play, instrument petting zoo by Bach to Rock, sing along at 10am during a Little Audience Music session, and snag selfies with a set-up by Little Teepee Glamping.
• 10:  Camp Pinwheel Create art using real blooms with MacaroniKID, camp out in whimsical tents, (along with mini-tents for your baby dolls or favorite stuffies), by Little Teepee Glamping, and dive into sensory fun with Inspired Play Café.
• 17:  Suit Up, Superheroes! Design your own superhero mask, explore sensory play with Inspired Play Café, and test your powers with high-energy fun from My Gym OP. Capes encouraged – fun guaranteed!
• 24:  Once Upon a Playtime Gather for a magical morning of stories and play! Enjoy fairy tale storytime at 9:30a & 10:30a with JoCo Library, craft your own enchanted wand with MacaroniKID, and step into sensory wonder with Inspired Play Café.

July

• 1:  Zoom! Vroom! Cars & Trucks Start your engines! Zoom in for a painting with wheels craft, then race into sensory play with Inspired Play Café. For the final lap, cruise though creative set-ups by My City Rugs. It’s a morning pit stop packed with fun for your little drivers!
• 8:  Plushie Picnic Pack your favorite stuffed animal and morning snack for cuddles, creativity, and storytime fun! Set-up pretend picnics with MacaroniKID kid-sized baskets, and weigh, measure, and create a personalized certificate for your plushie. Enjoy picnic sensory play with Inspired Play Cafe, and snuggle up for storytime as local author, Brittany Kelly, reads her heartwarming book Freckles and Mallard, a tale about friendship.
• 15:  Game On! Sports Spectacular A sports-themed morning with fun crafts, Inspired Play Café, and movement set-ups by My Gym OP and Happy Feet Soccer. Don’t miss a visit from KC Mavericks mascot, Mac, and more!
• 22:  Roar & Explore: Into the Wild Get ready to stomp, roar, and swing into action at Pinwheel Club! The first 40 kids get a FREE lion hat from MacaroniKID, go wild with a zoo animal-themed “Walk Like an Animal” Obstacle Course, zoo-inspired sensory bins by Inspired Play Café, and a noise session at the instrument petting zoo by Bach to Rock. Come for a morning of untamed fun for your wild cubs!
• 29:  Summer Shell-abration! A Pinwheel Club FIN-ale party! Make and float through a sea of oversized bubbles, create a Under the Sea Sensory Bottle with sand, shells, glitter and beads, and ocean-themed sensory play with Inspired Play Café. Mermaids, beach bums, and little sea creatures of all welcome to dress-up for this shell-abration of memories!

• In the event of inclement weather, the Pinwheel Club will be cancelled for that week’s activities. Follow @parkplaceleawood and @kcmacaronikid on social for weather-related announcements.
• Any hitting, physical, or verbal violence of any kind will not be tolerated. If any such event occurs, the person(s) involved will be asked to leave the property for the duration of the event.
• A parent or guardian must accompany participating children ages 0-12 at all times.
